Most people know Sage Suede as Austin’s pre-eminent pioneer of hip hop, and electronic dance pop fusions. Recently he had trouble with the law in a small township in the country, which he recounted in the song “Thief in Blue” on the new album Renegade.

Sage sampled the cop giving the citation in an act of rebellion and to bring light to the situation, as many think of civil forfeiture without understanding its impact and Sage believes that marijuana should be legalized as a medicinal adaptogenic herb.
Sage Suede recounted that when he started to record the cop, their behavior immediately changed and the situation became less dark but the cop still left with half an ounce, and only reported a small grinder in the shape of a Pokemon master ball at the station, which cost over 3k in legal fees. All because Sage rolled a stop sign at night with poor lighting and a blunt or two was discovered near his person.

Renegade is a more alternative and hip hop contrast to his last electropop album, released only two months earlier titled Savage Summer.
Part of Sage Suede’s creative genius lies in his ability to write songs with artists globally in diverse musical styles. On Savage Summer, he worked with artists like Honey-B-Sweet, Girlxhighlight and Dazmin D’leon (with whom he has also founded the podcast Dazzlin Stage Music).

Sage Suede released his first album Thicc Juicy Bass during the pandemic when everything was shutting down and developed a 3D music video exhibition at The Gallery ATX. Shortly thereafter, he released the spectacular visual hip hop & house album Foolin Around with Devin Alfather twirling flaming swords.

Sage has a cult following through modeling, global music publications, and collaborations.
Sage Suede is only gaining steam, despite one thief in blue that may have been a little too interested in drugs.

The lead single Just Trippin (Sugar Baby in the Kitchen) has achieved over 111k streams on Spotify and the album Renegade has over 263k streams. The breakout electropop single on Savage Summer titled “Put a Towel Down Bro” has over 81k streams.
Sage has two cats that are brothers from the same litter and they are often seen wearing bowties on his instagram. Subscribe to YouTube for updates on new videos featuring modeling and multi-dimensional music vids.
