Tickets go on sale for Forbidden Fruit at 9am this Friday, February 3rd via Ticketmaster Ireland.

Eric Prydz, Rina Sawayama, slowthai, Honey Dijon, Central Cee and more have been announced as part of the Forbidden Fruit 2023 line-up this morning. Taking place on the June Bank Holiday weekend, 3rd and 4th, at Royal Hospital Kilmainham; the 2022 edition saw Lorde perform in Ireland for the first time ever.

One of the biggest names in electronic music, renowned Swedish DJ Eric Prydz, will play his first Dublin show in 11 years for the occasion.

Making his Irish festival headline debut, UK rapper Central Cee is the most-streamed hip-hop artist in the UK reaching over 1 billion streams in a year. Japanese-British pop star Rina Sawayama, who recently shared her second album Hold the Girl, is also set co-headline. Mercury Prize-nominated rapper slowthai, fresh from announcing his new album Ugly featuring a collaboration with Fontaines D.C., made the bill.

Beyonce collaborator and Grammy Nominated artist Honey Dijon brings her distinct blend of techno, disco and house music to Forbidden Fruit. Chart-topping DJ Eliza Rose, who reached number 1 in the Irish and UK charts with last summer’s mega-hit ‘B.O.T.A.’ (Baddest Of Them All), is on the list alongside Berlin-based rising star producer and live act Ben Böhmer.

After releasing a plethora of EPs, Knucks has quickly become a name to look out for, selling out headline shows, supporting Not3s on tour and opening for Wretch 32. Forbidden Fruit are “thrilled” to have Romy of The xx bring her solo project to the festival for the first time followed by German producer and techno DJ southstar on the bill for his Irish debut.

Much-loved London DJ EZ, synonymous with UK garage, is one of the finest and most technically gifted DJs in the music industry. Violinist Brittney Parks aka Sudan Archives, on the other hand, melds R&B, avant-garde, jazz and pop, complete with her signature violin.

Exciting British songwriter Wesley Joseph – who was also added to the lineup – is a uniquely talented R&B singer and rapper. Irish hip-hop star Malaki is a must-watch act for his stage presence and exuberant energy. Expect some deep house meets dreamy electronica from George FitzGerald (Live).

Manchester-born Interplanetary Criminal is a pioneering DJ and producer who scored a Number 1 with the infectious track ‘B.O.T.A.’ in collaboration with Eliza Rose. Prepare for some early 90s techno all the way through to drum N bass from the dance duo X CLUB.

Leading a new generation of high-speed ravers, Sherelle has got you covered but you’ll need stamina to keep up. From Kildare to London, pop singer April is carving out her musical path with threads of dance music and high-octane pop.

One of the most exciting DJs on the circuit Yung Singh’s sets can vary in genre from Garage to grime, jungle mixed with Punjabi folk, and everything in between. Up-and-coming hip-hop producer and DJ from West London P-rallel is one to watch.

One of Melbourne’s rising talents from the underground dance scene is Pretty Girl, a producer with a live show that packs an emotional punch. Australian-born, London-based DJ Surusinghe has five-star reviews flowing in. Combining bass, reggaeton, breakbeat and techno, her mixes are fast and unpredictable. London-based artist LUXE has carved out a unique space for herself as a DJ, producer and composer. Her eclectic selections simultaneously blend in and stand out on a wide range of lineups.

Central Cee, slowthai, Eliza Rose and more were recently added to the AVA Festival line-up in Belfast.
