Disco Biscuits Celebrate Night Two of New Year’s Run with Brand New Song “The Deal”

Last night, Dec. 30, the Disco Biscuits celebrated the second evening of their three-night New Year’s celebration at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago. Like the previous evening, the Disco Biscuits pulled all the stops through two electric jamming sets equipped with all the bells, whistles and lights – the second of which saw both a bust out and a debut.
The Disco Biscuits opened the show with their beloved 2006 track “Kitchen Mitts” off their LP The Wind at Four to Fly. They then took off with “On Time,” which contained “Tourists (Rocket Ship).” After the band caught their breath and the crowd appreciated what had transpired, they moved into “House Dog Party Favor” before flowing from “Twisted in the Road” into “Run Like Hell” back into “Twisted in the Road.”
The second set was a non-stop jam starting with “Mindless Dribble” into “Another Plan of Attack.” They then flowed into the middle section of “Crickets,” which seamlessly moved into “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy,” marking the first time the band played the song since their New Year’s Run in 2018, 149 shows ago. To ensure the set would be one for the books, they ripped into their new original song, “The Deal.” Next came “Orch Theme,” allowing the heavy groove to return before they closed the frame by returning to “Another Plan of Attack.”
The Disco Biscuits encored with two songs: “Frog Legs” and “Run Like Hell,” leaving many guests with a deep desire to return to celebrate the New Year with the beloved band tonight.
