Shaped in 1990 by singer and bassist Edgar ‘Summertyme’ Jones, guitarist Ged Lynn and drummer Paul Maguire, The Stairs shortly attracted an enormous cult following with their basic fusion of mid-Nineteen Sixties’ US storage rock and British R’n’B.
